Rachel Riley

Rachel Riley is a British television presenter and mathematician, best known for co-hosting Countdown since 2009. Born in 1986, she studied mathematics at Oxford before entering television. In 2013, she competed on Strictly Come Dancing, but despite her intelligence and charm, she was eliminated early. Riley is also known for her advocacy work against antisemitism and online abuse. She continues to present Countdown and works on STEM initiatives, encouraging young people, especially girls, to pursue careers in mathematics and science.
